Stephanie was great last night. Excellent variety of songs for Valentines Day, and her voice is amazing. Highlight had to be her doing "Defying Gravity". I must say I actually liked it better than Idina's... Good luck to Stephanie on the "Wicked" tour! The place was sold out last night, lots of standing ovations, even as she entered. Plenty of Ozalots in attendance also.

Well, I guess I'm going to be one of the first. She was, in a word, magnificent. Her voice, her choice of material, her face, her gown, her wonderfully comedic "patter" was perfect. And, BTW, I did not see "Wicked" but I did see Idina Menzel at the Tonys, and, no question, Stephanie blows her off the stage when it comes to the song "Defying Gravity". I hope I'm not hurting feelings here, but Idina's "hollering" at the end does not touch Steph's version.
She introduced her sister, friends, and boyfriend in the audience, she told a wonderfully funny story about auditioning and eventually getting a job, at age 15, at Disneyland. Look up the name Pfiefer and find out the character she portrayed. She did a super duet with her accompaniest, one of the truly best in the business, discovered, by the way by Liza herself. I should have been taking notes on each of the songs she sang, but I'm sure one of the Bwy sites will have a review. Her Petula Clark medley, was, what can I say, how many of you have seen anyone do a Petula Clark medley. She knocked it out of the park.
Morty was nothing short of mesmerized by her talent. Anyway, I'm sure there will be others who will remember and post everything I missed, and I know I missed a lot. Also, there were lots of photos taken, so I imagine you'll have more to pick from than my measly two. But here they are, anyway.

I saw her and she was INCREDIBLE. Defying Gravity was the best I ever heard it and this woman's voice is not to be believed!!! It was truly an amazing night.. she is such an amazing talent.

A bump for Steph - she was sooo good she deserves it! Would love to hear form anyone who sees her in Wicked!
