It has been noted that Stephanie J. Block has been sick. I caught her performance Saturday at the Fox in St. Louis and (for the first time) did the stage door thing. Stephanie could not have been more gracious. She greeted every fan (there were probably thirty of us) and thanked each of us for waiting while signing our programs and posters. What a trouper! Yet another reason to love the amazing Ms. Block! As for her performance, she rose above her illness to deliver an outstanding performance in the show.
Aww..I sure love me some Stephanie.

Stephanie always amazes me! Her character offstage is so warm and friendly and ever so gracious to her fans. She always seems to be humbled by the amount of people who seem to adore her so much. She has been (for a long time) and will continue to be my favorite performer onstage as well as a role model for me offstage! I adore her so much!
I agree... Steph is an incredible talent but it's her character offstage that really makes an impression (and that's saying a lot cause she's fierce!)
Popular...are you Stephanie?? You seem to know everything about her...If you are Stephanie.....Hi!!!
HARDLY!!! HA HA
When the show was in L.A. a few of us repeat lotto winners bonded and we just happen to have remained interested in keeping up with what she's doing and keep each other informed.
If I WAS her, me praising myself wouldn't exactly match up with everything that was being said about me would it?
Nope, sorry to disappoint though you never know who DOES read these things, do you?
Stephanie is the nicest person I have ever met at a stagedoor hands down.

Popular = Stephanie J. (ok well she is popular, not the person but the term, but you know what I mean:p)
I love it! It doesn't get much better than that does it my friend?:p
Yeah Gretch, pretty flattering. Or maybe it's a sign that I've been posting just a little too much. LOL
Can't help it, have to contribute to the Stephanie love. It's nice to see all this among the RENT threads we're drowning in.

Seriously! We've got to keep the Stephanie love alive! haha!
I am so torn about the stage door tomorrow.
If Stephanie does perform, I would love to meet her. On the other hand, it is the second show of the day..she's been sick, and it's "Thanksgiving Eve". I'm sure the last thing she wants to do is stand out in the cold and give autographs to people who should be driving home so they can cook dinner the next day.
But since she is Stephanie and she is gracious and kind..I know she will sign autographs anyway.
I don't know whether I should try or not. It will already be real late by the time we get home..we've got a three hour drive back.

I'll tell you this much. Stephanie loves to hear from her fans. She appreciates every kind word that is said and it fuels her to continue to do what she loves most. If you want to meet her I suggest that you do. She will appreciates your thoughfulness in standing out in the cold just to tell her how wonderful she was. Trust me!
I have to agree with GretchaSketh, go to the stage door and meet Stephanie!
Just adding to the Stephanie love here- she's so nice at the stage door, but you can't beat having first 'met' her when, pretty much day after day, she was entering *herself* in the lotto trying to get Wicked tix for all her L.A. friends (she apparently knows *everyone* in L.A. :)). I think for that reason alone she will always be one of my favs.
Thanks you guys..She was really kind in an email to my daughter who asked her a million questions. I'll see how tomorrow goes.
Anyone know where the stage door is at the Fox?

It WAS fun trying lotto with Stephanie! hehe! She and Bret once had 14 people sign up for them and STILL didn't win. I helped them out once but didn't win either! I have such rotton luck with Lotto!
That is too funny.
The first time I said anything to her was when I saw her win lotto as well.
She apologized and explained to the crowd that even she couldn't get tickets anymore.
I just laughed and thought more power to her. To see how sweet she was about it... I think even as ticket-hungry and crazed asthe crowd was, everyone there was happy for her.

It was funny when she won (the first time I was there). The lotto person drew her card and was about to announce the name and said "Hmm I wonder if she's her. STEPHANIE J. BLOCK!!!" Everyone whooohoooed for her! It was great:)
That's so cool- I never saw her own name get pulled, but I did see her friends win a bunch of times. And Stephanie once gave the cash to her friend whose name was pulled, so that he could buy the tickets- how sweet is that?
...and i would also like to state for the record that Popular is not Stephanie. :)

hehe! I'm totally getting a kick out of this tonight! The whole Popular is Stephanie thing:p
what can I say, I had to do it. :)
Hey did you guys ever notice at the lotto people in the crowd, like when they could see that Stephanie was *someone* they should know ('cause other people were taking pics with her, stopping to talk to her, etc.), so they'd be looking at Stephanie, trying to figure out who she is, looking at the posters, looking at Stephanie, etc. And you could totally see the light bulb go off when they figured it out? They always cracked me up! Um, there are four people on the posters- Stephanie, Kendra, Morrible, and the Wizard. And plus the woman has GREEN fingernails. Hmmm- which one do you think she is? :)
