Stephanie Mills' version of "Home" on The Wiz cast album

Love her voice and what she brought to the songs. (Also loved her in a more mature role on TV's recent Wiz.) But on the cast album, Stephanie sings, "Suddenly my world's gonn'd and changed its face." I always wondered if "gonn'd" was a slip of the tongue that they simply kept rather than re-do. Or did she perform it that way in the show, as a nod to the character's lack of sophistication? This might seem like a picky question, but it's long intrigued me, as I'm a big theater queen, lol.

But the line isn't "Suddenly my world's gonna change its face." It's "Suddenly my world's gone and changed its face." And to my ears, she's singing "gonn'd."
