Stephen Sondheim Theater Marquee

Does anyone know why Anything Goes doesn't use the full marquee at the Stephen Sondheim Theater?

Is it a Marquee? It looks more like a billboard..

It's a billboard, but they used it for Bye Bye Birdie, but not since. I wonder why?
