A while ago - maybe a few years ago- my mother told me that she'd once read something about Angela. She told me that she'd read somewhere (I don't know where, and she doesn't remember) that when Angela was a teenager or a very young woman, she ran away from home and was staying in some motel and someone had knocked on the door and when she'd answered it, the person at the door had knocked her out. She had amnesia for a short while, and couldn't remember where she was or how or why she had gotten there in the first place. Later in life, it prompted her to speak out to young girls about the dangers of running away, drawn from her own experience. But my mother says she was never able to find that story again, had never heard that about Angela before, and hasn't been able to find anything about it since. Strange. I wonder what that was all about, if anything at all. I sense it isn't true. I didn't know if anyone else might be able to shed light on it.

Posted: 4/26/09 at 11:32pmFrom what I know about Angela - quite a bit - this story sounds highly dubious. She left for America at age 15; I doubt she even had the opportunity for such rebellion as a kid.
