Strathairn & Marvel in DC readings from Aeschylus’ Eumenides

Hi All — Sometimes I come across something down here in DC that would interest this board’s members (well, maybe not every board member). This is one of those:

Georgetown University Law Center presents
David Strathairn, Elizabeth Marvel, Linda Powell, and Obi Abili
In readings from Aeschylus’ Eumenides (with a conversation on justice)
Wednesday, November 14, 2018
6:30–9:00 p.m.
Georgetown Law | Hart Auditorium
600 New Jersey Ave NW | Washington, DC 20001

Admission is free with RSVP. The event has been planned for the Georgetown Law community, and members of the public are also welcome. For more info or to RSVP, click here.

About the event:
Four noted actors will perform a selection of readings from Aeschylus’ Eumenides — an ancient Greek play depicting the first murder trial in western culture — in order to catalyze conversations around the morality and justice of the court system. This interactive event aims to engage the audience in constructive and compelling dialogue about the ethical and emotional challenges of working within the legal system today.
