Hi all,

A couple of quick questions...

(a). Do the ticket prices for shows on StubHub and/or BroadwayBox include tax? I think I know the answer to this but wanted to check to be sure...

(b). Are there mailing options available when you purchase? E.g. if the tickets I'm buying are being resold by someone in California, would there be mailing options available (for an added price or not) that would ensure they reach me before the scheduled performance date?

Thanks for your help!

Can't answer the second part of this, but to the first part no.   When you buy tix with a BroadwayBox discount, you aren't paying THEM anything.   You are redirected to telecharge (or whomever sells the tickets for any given show), and you have the same taxes and surchages you normally do for them.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

For the second part --- I can't speak to BroadwayBox, but when I've made purchases on Stubhub for other events (primarily sports), the delivery is taken into account based on the event date, regardless of where you are. Though if they are print-at-home tickets for the seller, they will upload a PDF to Stuhub, and you (the buyer) just downloads it, and you're good to go. No need to worry about delivery time.

For physical tickets --- if it's far enough out, I believe the seller is provided a UPS label to ship the tickets to the buyer once the purchase is made, and I think the ship speed is 2-day. If it gets too close to the event date for UPS shipping, the listing 'expires' on Stubhub, and the seller then has to re-list them with "last minute services" which involves them sending the tickets directly to Stubhub, and you (the buyer) picking them up at a Stubhub location. I think there are at least one or two of those in Manhattan.

When you look at a listing on Stubhub, it will tell you upfront whether it's electronic delivery, UPS, or "LMS."

Hope this helps.

EDIT: as far as cost, this should all be built into the fees that Stubhub charges.
