I'm into a wednesday matinee soon and I was jsut windering if anybody knew what my chances of winning any of these lotteries would be.
1 out of how many people enter.

None of those shows have Student Rush.
The body of the post clarifies they are talking about lotteries, even if the topic title might seem like they think rush and lotteries are the same thing.
Skip Wicked and go to In The Heights or Hair.
And I would also say skip Next to Normal... but that's just me. I didn't like it.
Isn't Next to Normal dark on Wednesdays? So that's out. Wicked sounds like it's always crowded no matter what day it is. Ragtime is just starting performances a a couple days so perhaps it wouldn't be crowded I say go with Ragtime.

Me & a friend lucked out winning the Wicked lotto on Sunday, I think the terrible weather meant the crowd wasn't as huge (but still big for a 1/however many chance) , because I've tried in the summer and it must've been hundreds there.
Yes, N2N is dark on Wednesdays (they do a Monday night).
And I further agree with Legally__Popular....go see Ragtime. You should only attempt Wicked when it "just something to do" and not when you are PLANNING to see a show.
I enjoy all three shows for different reasons (though I won't see this particular production of Ragtime until tonight). However, if I had to rank them right now, I'd put next to normal's lotto above Wicked, given that the current cast of Wicked is rather dull. next to normal is firing on all cylinders right now. I'll have an opinion on Ragtime tomorrow.

The chances of winning are not one in the number of people entering. It would be that way if there was only one seat. If there are one hundred people entering, thirty-two seats, and everybody writes on the card two seats, your chances are 16%, not 1%.
