Studio 54 seating question

Hi gang,
I was wondering if anyone knows if all the seats on the floor are flat or is any elevation? We are short and thought the front mezzanine might work better. I'm either going with the 2 seat banquets (203 and 204) or the front mezz, row AA, 117 and 118. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks all!

Posted: 6/19/14 at 10:35amI called the box office with a similar question. The very kind and informative agent informed me that she'd recommend front mezzanine over the banquettes or even rear orchestra. Your seats, it seems, are in the center section of the front row. I wish we could have purchased those, but they are still listed as VIP seats available only to benefactors. Still, I am optimistic that our Mezz left (AA 7 and 9) are still going to be great.

Posted: 6/19/14 at 10:39amI would not recommend the banquettes. Everything on the floor is flat, and the banquettes are the farthest-back seats on the floor. They're also a bit lower than the tables, so you'd almost certainly be a little obstructed by people in front of you. The orchestra tables behind the banquettes are all elevated, with each row of tables on its own step. Personally, I think table 254 is the ideal spot, since you're on the first step up and can easily see over everyone sitting on the floor. I've never sat in the mezz for Cabaret, but I'm sure row AA would be fantastic! Good luck...I too am vertically challenged and know the struggle all too well. :)

Posted: 6/19/14 at 12:58pmHow about Front Mezz Row AA - Seat 1 or Row BB - Seat 105? Which would be better?
#5Studio 54 seating question
Posted: 6/19/14 at 1:03pmAng, both would be great, but I'd choose row AA, seat 1. Seems worth it to me to be in the front row with no one in front of me and on the aisle, even if it is not as centered.

Thanks Alix. My friend will be joining me now so we may get seats in Front Mez BB - Seats 8/10 or Seats 7/9. Are those still decent view? :)
Sorry for all the questions, just want to be sure I get a good seat. Was considering Student or General Rush, but it seems to be advised against taking that chance.

I inquired about Student Rush (the 1/2 off tickets at half hour) yesterday.
The man at the BO said they usually have a few tickets they'll sell right before curtain, and are usually $82. A line of 2 people had already begun to form at 6pm.
As for General Rush, he said they have a policy, but never have tickets.

I think those would be great, Ang. (Again, I haven't sat in the mezz for Cabaret, but I have sat there for a few other shows at Studio 54.) If you have no preference between the two sides, I'd go with seats 8 and 10; the Emcee hangs out on a catwalk on that side of the theater at a couple points in the show. :) The stage thrusts out into the audience so there really isn't any danger of missing moments that take place on the sides of the stage, which you'd have to consider for most shows.
Also, if you're eligible (under 35) I'd highly recommend getting a Hiptix Gold membership. The membership is $75/year, and once you're a member you should be able to buy those seats for $25 each. So you're essentially paying $62.50 per ticket.

Posted: 6/19/14 at 10:29pmI am seeing Cabaret June 25th and have Table 154 seats 3-4. Anyone know how these seats will be?

Posted: 6/19/14 at 11:05pmAlix: How are you only paying $62.50 per seat? Isn't it $100?
#11Studio 54 seating question
Posted: 6/19/14 at 11:08pmIf you're buying two tickets and splitting the price of the membership, it works out to $62.50 per person ($75 + $25 + $25 = $125). But yes, $100 for one Hiptix Gold seat.

Hi everyone. Looking at buying Hiptix for Cabaret and was just wondering how the rear-mezz is for this show? Is it worth the $75 to upgrade to Gold for orchestra seats?
Thanks in advance!

Posted: 7/13/14 at 8:45pmI did Hiptix during previews and the rear mezz is fine. I personally don't really like sitting in the last couple of rows because it does feel really far back, but a few rows further up is okay.

Posted: 7/13/14 at 8:46pmI am a hiptix gold member and I sat in the front mezzanine for Cabaret - the view was great. I can't compare it to the rear mezzanine, but I will say that the $75 charge for hiptix gold is totally worth it if you plan on seeing multiple Roundabout shows. I had no problem getting great orchestra seats to Violet and the upcoming shows in the new season.

Posted: 7/13/14 at 10:24pmAny of the Hiptix gold members be able to tell me what the availability is on the show for the next two months? Want to see the show a few more times before I go home to Ireland and don't wanna get the Gold if theres no Gold seats left. I've done hiptix in the rear mezz and its fine but i wanna see it up close!
