Someone named Bruce Kimmel has implied that fabulously successful, world-famous composers Kander & Ebb and the late, great Peter Stone ripped off his later-written novel that nobody's ever heard of till yesterday, when they created their musical "Curtains", several decades ago. Yes, Kimmel concedes, the creators technically wrote their show decades before Kimmel's "novel", but they clearly accelerated their plans for said show in order to jump on the crazy hysterical frenzy when three separate people leafed through his novel once at the Drama Book Shop and quickly put it down. Other shows that allegedly were inspired by Kimmel's oeuvre: "Oklahoma!", "Pirates of Penzance" as well as the bible story "Noah's Ark". Stay tuned for more hilariously bitter accusations!
Sad!

What a freak!
Jumping on a popular trend isn't stealing. It's called a "marketing technique."
Show me anyone alive in marketing who doesn't use "timing" as a major driving factor, and I'll show you someone looking for a job soon.

This is so...sad!
I've heard Mr. Kimmel is a bit strange (heresay!) but I will ever be thankful for his Unsung Musicals and Lost in Boston cds...just for "Come Down From the Tree" alone!
