Suggestions for this weekend

Hey all! I booked a last second NYC trip solo for my birthday and was wondering what shows might be the best for successful rushing for the weekend.

I land at 10 AM on Friday so I won't really get into town in time to get in any rush lines from the looks of it, but I have seen that Great Comet, Waitress and Bandstand(I'll probably see this regardless because I graduated with Laura, but undecided on Friday or Saturday night) are usually also on TKTS.

I do have a ticket to Dear Evan Hansen for the matinee on Saturday (my one full on splurge), but would also probably like to hit up a show saturday evening. What have people really enjoyed, and what might work given what people know about the lines!

You can enter the lotto now and they'll tell you the day before the show if you win. They were sending out discount codes to the losers, but I'm not sure if they're still doing it.

"I second Groundhog Day and they do still give out discount does for the lottery losers (that's how I saw it earlier this week)

As for the other show you talked about, Bandstand would still have some ticket on ready once you get in (they have second round rush tickets). You could so Waitress too because they typically don't sellout until a little after the box office opens. The Great Comet would be a good Saturday night show because yes you should get on line before the box office opens for rush tickets and it's more uplifting to end the day on.

Has anyone seen Bandstand from the extreme sides around row G/H/I? I am 6'5" so I am always concerned about legroom and like to be able to cheat into the aisle.

How does this show do from there? Thinking about just using the online discounts available right on telecharge.

I was in Row I-17 (3 seats in from outer aisle) house left last night and the proximity to the stage was perfect. I could still the drum kit upstage on my side but there's a counter that someone would occasionally be standing on which wasn't always completely visible from my angle. There's also a scene by a doorway about halfway through Act 2 where I mostly saw the back of someone's head and varying degrees of the person they were talking with, due to the angle and blocking. However, I don't think those issues would dissuade me from sitting there again (my seats were via TDF). I'm only 5'2" so my legroom assessment will vary, but I find the Jacobs to be roomy enough where I don't feel like I'm in someone's lap or falling over the next row if I have to squeeze past someone.

My recs would be Great Comet or Groundhog Day. (I'd also recommend Come From Away but it's a tough ticket at the moment.) I liked but not loved Bandstand.

I do not think that is the typical process. Two weeks ago I bought a Bandstand tix on Telecharge w discount code on the 1:00 Acella from Boston to NY & picked it up at Will Call for that evening's performance. I walked by the TKTS booth and it was selling there for 40% off (I think, could have been 50%, but I think 40%) also. Just a side note, as it was not sold out (or even "well" sold I would say) the ushers had a print out of all seats purchased & were moving others with less desirable seat locations to the more forward, center view seats. However, everyone had to stay in their section. For example I was front row right mezz but could not have moved into the orchestra, or even center mezz I do not think...... Laura's voice is fabulous!
