Posted: 3/24/07 at 5:46pmiTunes has it for about half the price. also, amazon.com has it for the price you'll get anywhere. the cd doesn't really do the show justice though. it's great, don't get me wrong, but live and with the right cast, that show can be life changing.

Posted: 3/24/07 at 5:50pmI'm listening to the 30 second clips on on itunes right now. I think it's really funny because itunes calls it the "Soundtrack from the Musical". Plenty of people on this board would throw a fit over it.

CD Universe has it for less than $30. Mine was shipped on Monday and arrived Friday. iTunes has it for less than $20, but you don't get the booklet that contains the entire libretto and all the lyrics, complete with stage directions. There are also two wonderfully written forwards by Hunter Foster and David Kirschenbaum as well as comments by director Gabriel Barre.
It's a great show, and the entire cast is really strong. I predict really good things for Ryan Driscoll in the future. He's totally disarming as Hermie.
And of course there's Rachel York. 'Nuff said.

Posted: 3/25/07 at 10:02amIt's a double CD...they are usually more expensive. Plus, Jay Records tends to me a bit pricer since most of their stuff is targeted to a niche market. I think I paid $40 for Dessa Rose...totally worth it though!

Did you look at J & R? They appear to have a rather extensive show music section. I generally go there for Opera, now that Tower is closed. I believe that Footlight.com is also no longer in business.
Sad, first Tower, then Footlight. What is this world coming to?
I just checked on Amazon and they have 20 used copies from about $20.
