Sunday Rush Lately

Anyone rushed sunday lately? On a tuesday?

re: Sunday Rush Lately

I don't think you'll have a problemon a Tuesday. I've gotten general rush tickets to a Saturday evening performance at around 2 or 3pm.

There may be slightly less with the hiptix special now, but I still don't think it'll be a problem.

I did it for Wednesday evening. I showed up about 20 till opening and was the second person in line. It's a general rush and not a student rush and you get back mezz only, but it's 26.50 and the show's amazing.

I believe they also offer student rush, which is half off of whatever they have left. I needed two tickets, so I didn't even bother to ask.

Personally, best day to go is on Sunday. On an ordinary sunday...

sorry, j/k.

The student rush IS 50% off whatever is left at 30 minutes before curtain.

General rush is really not bad for this. I think the mezz is the better place to sit to take in the whole production.

I can't speak for Tuesdays, but I just picked up a Sunday hiptix seat for the upcoming Sunday (15th) and am getting a mid-mezz seat (EE) so I'm not certain there's a need to actually wait? I went first thing in the morning to the box office.

For those of us who can't GET hiptix, there IS a need to wait HS. Not all the world can get hiptix.

They do general rush, as well, which is $26.50 (I think) when the box office opens. It's usually in the front of the rear mezzanine.

For those who have done rush (either) recently, how have the seats been? I want to see it again before it closes, and I'm trying to decide if I'm better off ordering in advance with HipTix or doing rush.

Luv ~ I did it a couple of Saturdays ago and my roommate did it last Saturday. Both times we were offered the first or second row on the far sides of the rear mezz or the back row or so of the center sections of the rear mezz. Those were gotten in the afternoon. But still great seats. I like being further back for the show to see the whole thing.

Either $26.25 or half the regular price, depending on which rush you're talking about.

re: Sunday Rush Lately

I rushed last Saturday (for the matinee) and got front row of the rear mezz on the left side. At intermission, I moved to the center of the rear mezz, which was a vast improvement.
I chose, and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.

re: Sunday Rush Lately

I've heard that the rear mezz seating at studio 54 is really bad. I have an Aisle seat (GG 102) but is it anything like the mezz seating at the Eugeue o Neil because that was pretty bad?

re: Sunday Rush Lately

The view isn't bad, but people complain a lot about the leg room.

re: Sunday Rush Lately

For me, it wasn't the leg room so much as the view (from the side). Then I moved, and everything was fine.

re: Sunday Rush Lately

I've never had a problem with legroom...and I don't have short legs. I don't know...maybe I'm less picky or something.

But yes...sorry to get back to you so late Luv, it was general rush.

Wow... I don't think I've ever seen your member name. Cute... from RC in Austin, Texas

re: Sunday Rush Lately

IDK why you'd need to rush, what with all the crazy deals on tickets now that nobody's buying.
