Sunday in the Park DVD

So I was reading somewhere that BP came back to SITPWG to do the taping of the musical. Is this true? It said she had left to do Song & Dance. How long had she been gone from the show when she returned to do the taping.

I thought she left Into the Woods and came back to THAT production for the taping. I'm not sure though.

I've heard that she took a week off from 'Song & Dance' to do the 'Sunday' taping.

I thought she was IN Sunday when it taped but went into Into the Woods after leaving (She didn't perform at the Tony's though).

Sunday in the Park was filmed in 1985 while Bernadette was in Song and Dance, yes, she took time off, went back into Sunday to do the filming. She left Song and Dance in the summer of 1986. Into the Woods was in 1987 and she left before the 88 Tonys. Woods has nothing to do with the time frame of Sunday or Song and Dance.

According to the Sondheim Guide, Sunday was filmed after it closed. The dates they have for taping are October 21-25, 1985, so yes, she would have had to take time off from Song and Dance.
