In SITPWG, what are the names of the two Southern tourists in the first ct, and which characters do they play in the second act?

i feel like you mean the roles charles kimbrough and dana ivey played, which i think are jules and yvonne (i could be way off on the names...), but they're not at all southern.

No, I was talking about the two characters who enter their first scene eating huge pastries.

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

This is going by the DVD, but I believe the Southern woman is played by the same actresses who play's the nurse of George's Mother. I forgot what her character's name in ACT II is, but I know she is paired up with Louie......rather the actor playing Louie.

I can't think of the Southern Gentleman

yeah I know who you're talking about...the southern couple doesn't have a name. It's not even really billed, but it was played by Judith Moore (The Nurse and in ACT 2 Harriet Pawling). I'm not sure who the guy is. I wanna say it's John Jellison who played a sort of assistant. I'm not sure though. It's odd they're not billed.

Yes. Watch closely and in the middle of the number she leaves and comes out as the nurse.

Ok thanks! I knew the couple left during the song, but i didn't see the nurse come out. I would be going back to the video to watch for that but I had to return it to my library today. re: Sunday in the Park with george Question

The characters in the script are referred to as "Mr." and "Mrs." They are played by the actors who play the Nurse/Harriet Pawling and Lee Randolph. Judith Moore and Kurt Knudson played them in the OBC.

actually I've seen productions where they cast the second act totally unconnected to the first act. For example, the nurse didn't exactly play Harriet.
