Which one is the best in your opinion and why?

They all have their own virtues.
Sunday in the Park is a revival of a classic, featuring a first-rate cast and production, but it's definitely an acquired taste.
Curtains, closing June 29, is probably the last of the great Kander & Ebb musicals, starring David Hyde Pierce and Debra Monk at the top of their game.
Passing Strange is the future of musical theater.

How is SITPWG an aquired taste and how is passing strange the future of musical theater?
I'm between SITPWG and Passing and can't make up my mind!

Passing Strange is the future of musical theater.
I hope so.
Sunday is a work of art in itself, and I believe that a lot of people are able to appreciate that, even though some people think it's an acquired taste.
Curtains is a LOT of fun, hence the fact that I've seen it twice. And David Hyde Pierce is excellent in his Tony-Winning role. Since it is closing in June, I would find a chance to see it.
Passing Strange is just fantastic! One of the best experiences in theatre I've ever had.
If I were to pick from the three, I would definitely pick PASSING STRANGE!!
(I haven't seen Passing Strange, so my opinion here is based on seeing the other two and only what I've read/learned about Passing Strange.)
For me, the best is Sunday in the Park with George. It's just such a stunning, beautiful, moving, and charming production. It touched my heart.
I haven't seen PASSING STRANGE, so with that being said. Forget Curtains, get thy butt to SITPWG!
SUNDAY. There's nothing like it.
Sunday In The Park With George
PASSING STRANGE. prepare to have your mind blown.
I won't say which one is best, but this production of Sunday is about as good as that show will ever get. Act II usually feels so tacked on, but their approach almost makes it work and the final minutes are actually very moving. Act I is just stunning.
Sunday. I thought Curtains was lackluster and came off as a really good community theatre production, and Passing Strange was definitely very interesting and perhaps is the direction musicals are going, but I've never heard the term "real" used so many times or so abstractly, to never be explained.
Sunday beautifully and pretty simply does what I think Passing Strange almost succeeded in, which is showing the relationship between art and life and how it all fits together and what's important. Not to mention what they do with the projections is awe-inspiring.
Both Sunday and Passing Strange are of a high quality, but if I could only go to one again it would have to be Passing Strange!! The Belasco is rockin' and you will experience something truly unique and mind blowing. Not that Sunday isn't brillant too, but PS narrowly beats it out.
SITPWG is my all time favorite musical...but I won't be seeing this production until late in April, but cannot wait.
I actually HATED Curtains. I was bored beyond belief and would have left at intermission if I realized how much my sister hated it too. (why we didn't actually discuss it was beyond me)
Passing Strange is the show that I will next schedule, I am excited by theater going buzz, but the general public is not as enamoured...which makes me think I will love it! I don't know when, since my "theater card" is pretty full right now.
At this point I've only seen Curtains, but I loved it.
I'm seeing Passing Strange tonight...I've been iffy on it, so we'll see.
And Sunday is on my want to see list. I may rush it tomorrow if I can get up early enough.

I'd say Curtains, as it'll close first.
But, no, honestly, see all three. They're so different in approach and all worth it.
Either Sunday or Curtains. If you want an old fashion type musical comedy you want Curtains, if you want more of a thinker stick with Sunday. Either or both shows are really good! And both now will only be here into this summer.
