What did it cost to run weekly because if the show cost 672,000 a week, It would have been thirty cents short of recouping.

I'm sure SOMEONE understands .... but it seems about 30 cents short of logic.

The show grossed $83,327,962 it ran for 124 weeks. 83,327,962/124=671,999.694 which rounds up to 671,999.70

I still don't see how you took that as the show's running cost per week. That's just the average amount it made per week. Given that the show practically bankrupted Really Useful Group, odds are it wasn't just 30 cents from recouping when it closed. The running cost was probably higher. Much higher. In addition to those pesky law suits Webber kept getting himself into.

Edit: Saw that you didn't say that you thought it was the running cost. Just a query.

Even if it took in enough to cover the weekly operating cost (with $0.30 extra), that means it would have lost MILLIONS. The sets did not build themselves, the cast and orchestra did not do weeks of rehearsals for free - in other words, you seem to be completely ignoring the vast amount of money it took to get to opening night.
