Janine LaManna officially signed the contract and will be joining the show, I heard today from a teacher of mine who is good friends with her. I have complete confidence in him as a source, but I'm not sure you all will.... but I thought I'd tell anyway!

I didn't even think of Janine. I'm sure she'd be great if it is true. I saw her a couple years ago in Aida at NSMT and to be honest, I don't really remember the show that much, but I'm sure she was good :P

if the show lasts this long without Bob, and Sutton... what about Mara Davi replacing Janine when she leaves? She pretty much WAS Sutton Foster in the national tour of 42nd Street, and could do the camp in that show that is needed for a role like Janet, or a show like Drowsy... and has the soprano chops... and probably has the gymnastics. Opinions?

Mara Davi has a fantastic voice and is a wonderful tap dancer. They could always alter the choreography for her (if she doesn't have the gymnastic skills). I still think that Mylinda Hull would be hilarious, though.

I thought I had heard they would be slightly altering the choreography to best fit the new Janet's strengths. So, if Mara ever went in, maybe it would be tap heavy.

Until it's officially posted, I won't believe that Janine's been cast. I'm really hoping it's not her. I haven't been impressed with what I've seen her in (Ragtime, Kiss Me Kate, etc.)

HUZZAH for Seussical alumni! I think she's a great singer (never seen her live, so that's all I get to have an opinion on!) but still love her!
