Swapping London for New York HELP!!!

Hi Broadway
So, I'm coming to New York in 3 weeks and have to see a few shows. I would like to see:
Addams Family
Priscill
How to Succeed
Mephis
La Cage
What do you guys suggest? and how easy is it to buy tickets on the day in New York? Thanks :)
P.S It will be my first Broadway show so I NEED! to get it right haha

Unlike London, it is extremely hard to get a good ticket to a hit show at the last minute. Theater, in general, is much more expensive than London, and the theaters are wider, so sight lines are not as good.

For shows that are not sold-out hits, there's the TKTS ticket booth, similar to the one in London.

I'll let others suggest shows, but I think you can do better than what's on your list.

I would think you'd be able to get discounted tickets to all of those on your list. Check Theatremania and Playbill for discount codes if you don't want to risk getting last minute seats. To that end though, I think all of those shows will also be available day of on TKTS with the exception of HOW TO SUCCEED.

I personally would nix Addams Family, How to Succeed, and Memphis....but that's just me.

You are clearly interested in musicals so you may want to add Book of Mormon to your list (book soon...the reviews, I anticipate, will really create a fire at the box office). Also, couldn't recommend Anything Goes more. It really is a fantastic revival.
