Just curious what ya all think bout this show. Do you guys think the darker, more evil and creepy as hell it is, the better it is?

I think it needs to be effin weird and creep me the hell out, the more crazy, the better and entertaining.

What do you think?

I think that the darker scarier it can be done the better (it was Sondheim and Prince's original intention as well). There's plenty of comedy and lightness provided by the Mrs. Lovett character to cut some of the tension when need be, but in the main the gothic, grand guignol aspects should be played up for all they're worth.

It depends. Just because it's dark and creepy, doesn't mean that it's good. It could help if it's made creepy to tell the story better (or at least try, anyway), but to make it creepy just for the sake of creepy wouldn't be good.

Ive seen it many times and it doesnt scare me and i think its incredible. I do however think if it was really creepy id enjoy it more but i love the show to death and whatever is done with it is fine by me.

well, i agree, it doesn't need to be scary or dark or really creepy to be good, but I think it doesn't hurt.

I jsut saw it where it wasn't as dark and creepy as it could be and still enjoyed it. However, at times i was like, this should be darker and more intense and scary then it is. Either way, it was still a great show...

I can't wait til it comes to Broadway again, I'm so happy!!
