So happy that a classic and moving piece of theatre has been added! Such an achievement. Both Angela and Len were exquisite in their roles, and that score is breathtakingly gorgeous! One of my favorite shows, and it rightly swept the Tonys. So wonderful!

Fantastic recording of one of the greatest scores ever written for the theatre. If only they could take out that whistle in the ballad.

I also love the whistle. The first time I listened to it it literally made me jump (I had only seen the movie at the time). The same thing happened when my sisters listened to it. Such a wonderful effect after that brooding prelude.

I studied that whistle back at school. Our teacher thought it might actually be a violin.

I think it works very well on stage, and also on the cast album, but I just can't ever listen to my favorite song from ST because that freaking whistle hurts my ears so much.

They could replace it with a kazoo, but then that didn't work for the COMPANY revival, either.

I'm now picturing the reverse- the whistle cutting through "Side By Side" after Bobby's bit- and it's hysterical.
