Is this true or not; is this just a rumour?

Will Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton be starring in Sweeney Todd in the West End?

Do we have any confirmation from producers etc?

No - nothing's confirmed. Though it is likely to happen at Chichester, and also very likely to transfer to the West-End.

It is less likely to have both those cast members.

If you search, there was a thread a while ago about this production.

No nothing confirmed yet but if it happens with MB in it. My guess would be the latter end the festival, just by virtue of what we know he's already confirmed for next year.
