Sweeney seat question...

Hey I'm soooo excited I just got Sweeney tickets!! yay!

I've only seen it once (don't hit me!) and I saw it from box seats so now I have right orchestra row A seat 2. Has anyone sat there or around there before? do the actors play lines over there like they do to the center orchestra?

I sat in the 14th or so row in the orchestra when I saw it...I want to go again. I'm jealous! Have fun! :)

What about Row AA, Seat 104? Is that going to be rough on my neck?

Moxie.....yes. I sat in that seat last time and you will have to crane your neck, but not for very long. Michael and Ben came and sang right on the edge of the stage, so in those moments, it's a bit uncomfortable.

Seat A2 is fantastic. I've sat there before. You won't get any spittage from there.

Seat AA 104 is, like fantab said, where we sat last time. A tad uncomfortable, but not too much. Intense experience, and a great way to see the show (and a lot of spittage)

I did get some spit (mostly from Michael)...and it's really uncomfortable, cause you don't want to insult the actor by going "eeew!" or wiping it off, but then...you feel the wetness on your leg, or your arm, or your face, and all you want to do is wipe it off... cause...ew. But...you really can't. At least, I didn't.

If someone spit on me, even if it were the amazing Michael Ceveris, that spit would be wiped off within a matter of seconds. Ew! Then again, I can't even stand a dog licking my ankles, so...

hehe. I just felt really...awkward about going "Your spit disgusts me, sir!" so I'd try to subtly wipe it off... But, yeah, it's really...not pleasant. At all.

It's best to wait a moment until he turns around, and then wipe it off as fast as humanly possible. Just, you know....a tip.

Hahaha-What I never get is..why would they get offended if you wipe their spit off?

I mean-is it a crime that you don't want somebody's disgusting saliva on you?

When someone is talking to you and they spit by accident--people always pretend like it never happened as if you not wanting their spit on you is a horrible thing.

I saw Sweeney on Tuesday in that same set, A 2. It is the second row from the stage on the right side, right on the aisle. It is a great seat. Occasionally, one of the actors will be downstage in that area and your view gets blocked. And the coffin on the stage throughout makes it hard to see what is happening towards the rear left. As far as spit factor, you're safe. It is the people in the front center row that should have brought umbrellas.
