Ok, so I was checking the website because i knew it was closing, but nothing was mentioned. What I found interesting is that it had the lead as Charlotte d'Amoise and had no mention of Christina Appelgate. Did she drop out after she broke her leg? I find this whole ordeal to be very sad because it seemed as she was waroking very hard.
ohh wow, there are so many threads on this- it would be very easy to find the answer to this question without any difficulty. but ill be nice and answer for you :) christina did not drop out of the show, but she couldnt perform for the boston run (because of a broken foot, not leg) so there was really no point in advertising her name if she wasnt going to be in it. all those poor actors, today is their last performance.
Sorry, I just figured that they'd keep the headline as Christina Appelgate but mention the whole change in lead. I mean there was no mention of Appelgate anywhere on the website. Yes, I feel very sorry for this group. Saw the show in Chicago with Appelgate and was very impressed. Happy I didn't wait to see it in New York/
They didnt change the playbill either. Some songs that were added are not in the song list and it still says they are going to Broadway. I felt kinda bad b/c Applegates bio started off with "...is thrilled to be making her anticipated broadway debut!" (or something along those lines)
