Chita - Why are you so worried about a little boys grammar on a message board? It's the internet - get over it. So f*ck off, and get off my case you old bag.

Young, classy, intelligent and willing to learn. You are gonna make somebody a nice little wife.

"Thank you WonderBoy." ~ Glebb
"Wonderboy - you should've just choreographed the show." ~ ljay889
"Having read Wonderboy's posts here and in other threads...I think he would have done a great job...he seems to know Fosse so well! And....he was able to have sessions with Gwen Verdon! I am jealous of his direct contact with greatness." ~ justme2

Thank you all, you are very kind indeed. I would love to choreograph SWEET CHARITY one day. I cannot imagine not using original choreography but if I decided to create my own it would definitely be in the style of Bob Fosse. I think I would also have to keep the original choreography for "Big Spender" and "The Rich Man's Frug" without a doubt.

Like I said before, as upsetting as I found the choreography to be it was only one layer on the cake of disappointment that was the current revival of SWEET CHARITY for me.

Wonder - I can totally understand your dissapointment with the revival. Considering you've seen the Fosse Revival - and you have worked with some previous Charitys - including Verdon. So it's totally understandable.

For me - My only way of seeing Fosse's choreo is in the movie - and the movie is even missing some songs. I wish I was alive to have seen a Fosse version on stage.

I just had to add to the Sweet Charity reviews...

I saw it on 7/20, the wednesday night show. I honestly thought that Christina was brilliant. She truly embodied everything Charity Hope Valentine should be. I was impressed by her voice, which I expected to be less than satisfying and ended up being much better than I had originally thought. Her dancing was also quite good, she really does have talent there. Of course her acting was fabulous, she really had me believing she was Charity and not some famous celebrity trying to do the role. Overall, she has a certain star quality that really shined up there, I couldn't help but to just watch her the whole time, as she really draws you into the plot and her character.

Denis O'Hare was hysterical, and the chemistry and love between him and Christina are obvious. He did a great job, as did Kyra Da Costa and Janine LaManna, I just wish I saw a little more of the latter two. The ensemble was also really talented and fun to watch.

I won't go into what I thought of the sets and costumes and choreography because I don't have the time right now, but overall I was very impressed with Sweet Charity and eagerly anticipate seeing it again (with Christina!) sometime soon. I must add, though, that everyone was soo kind and gracious at the stage door, especially Christina who signed and smiled and talked to everyone there. She was very sweet to me, and I can appreciate her generosity and time so much.

Okay, that is my 2 cents!
