Sweet Smell of Success = Chicago

Has anyone noticed that the design for the album and basically the whole show of Sweet Smell of Success is a perfect mirror image of the revival of Chicago?

Yes. Except, I hated Sweet Smell but loved Chicago.

this is a rather odd topic. logos looking the same? is this what it has come to? either way they were both designed by spotco so it's no big deal. no one is being sued or anything like that. and I LOVED sweet smell of success...

Obviously, yes, they look the same, but I'd say they're executed in completely different ways. the photography for chicago is sharp and sexy while the photography for sweet smell of success is softer and a tad more sinister ultimately leaving you with a completely different feeling... the logos even while they appear to be the same font chicago is written out in red and in all capital letters where as the sweet smell of success logo has a red background for the words and is done in lower case, again, giving it a softer result.

in addition, the sweet smell of success poster does not have a shirltess picture of Michael Berresse, which I am convinced, is the reason as to why chicago is still running...

Ever notice that art on the original "concept" CD of RAGTIME is totally copied from the cast album of RAGS? The Statue of Liberty, the sillhouettes of the line of people against the horizon?
