I just watched the movie adaptation for the first time on Criterion Channel and I was knocked out. I haven’t read or seen the play, but I got to wondering why it’s never been revived, except for a brief off-Broadway revival in the early 2000s.

It seems ripe for a new production and could be a great star vehicle for the right leading lady. From what I can glean, Laura Reynolds is supposed to be in her late 20s, but I think it could work with an older leading lady as well, if author Robert Anderson’s estate allowed.

With the right “big name” as Laura and an unknown as Tom, I’d be first in line for a ticket.

This production always sparks interesting reactions, especially around its themes and performances. Different interpretations really change how it lands with audiences. While reading reviews, I sometimes take a breather with something light like https://casinosanalyzer.com/free-slots-online/Book-of-Ra. Theatre discussions are always richer with varied perspectives.
