They can take turns terrorizing their parents played by Mandy Patinkin & Charles Busch. I think they'd be great, especially Oona.
Maybe if they turned it into a musical- the Matilda's I have seen are better when singing than when acting, particularly during the extended monologues. Plus, you have to have some understanding of camp and horror to really milk the saccharine psycho-sweetness of the little girl.

But who's the composer? I would love to hear a score by Evelyn Evelyn, the music and performance art duo of Jason Webley and Amanda Palmer. Their music honestly reminds me of a darker, more Euro-Elfman take on the Matilda score.
