Has anyone rushed THE BEST MAN recently? Just curious as I'm hoping to get a ticket for one of the performances this Wednesday.

I dont know about rush, but I saw this show last Saturday and absolutely enjoyed it. Angela Landsbury's time on stage is small in comparasion to the other leads, but she steals every moment. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. James Earl Jones and John Laroquette were also a joy to watch. It seems Eric McCormack was chanelling Will from Will and Grace. Candice Bergen also was delight with the material written for her character.

I got to the box office 15 minutes before they opened on a Wednesday, and there were less than ten people in front of me. I had no problem getting a ticket for the evening show (both performances were available) and sat in one of the right boxes. It was a great, mostly unobstructed view and very close to the stage. This was only three weeks ago, so you should be fine in my experience.

I was able to walk up in the afternoon and get a student rush ticket for the evening performance. Seating location was side orchestra partial view, but I was able to move a few seats in.

This has nothing to do with Wednesday, but I've been told by others that there is only rush on weekdays and none for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. This was 2 days before the Tonys, not sure if anything changed.

I'm pretty sure people were rushing this past Sunday, so I don't think that weekend thing is true.

Last Saturday I walked up to the box office at 1:55 pm and got a rush ticket in the front row all the way to the side for the 2 pm curtain. The orchestra was full but the mezz was only about half full.

I stopped by the theatre at 4:45 yesterday and got a rush ticket for right mezz row F. It was a great seat but I was shocked at how the mezzanine wasn't very well sold.

Whoops, I forgot to post about my rush experience from June 27th, which I'll add just as a contrasting perspective to some of the others.

I was at the box office when they opened at 10:00 and was informed that they didn't have any rush tickets available for the matinee, only the evening performance. I checked back several times throughout the afternoon - the latest at 1:00 - to see if they had released any unsold tickets as rush, which they did not. I decided to buy the rush tickets for the evening (and went to see the matinee of The Columnist to help pass the time - which, on a side note, was great).

My rush ticket for The Best Man was in the box theater left and was most certainly partial view. After Act 1, I was able to move to the mezzanine with permission from an usher, and was very grateful that I was able to move.
