Anybody going tonight? I'll be there Thursday. From what I've seen and heard I'm looking forward to it very much.

Checking it out tomorrow's matinee. It looks interesting.

Can't wait to finally hear what this thing is actually like. I'm so intrigued, but hesitant to buy tickets until I actually learn from others what it is.

You mean it's unlike anything ELSE on Broadway? Because it is on Broadway.

There have been many links to articles about the show posted here in other threads. That should help you learn more about what it is

I think BwayConcierge was talking about an actual review of the show from the public here in New York.....

Saw some pics on Twitter...I know the headphones are part of the show. I also saw what looked like airplane seatbelt wrapped around only some of the seats in the theater. Anyone know what those are about? Or why they're only on some and not all?

If you are someone who gets anxiety when their senses are messed with, should this be avoided? Or is it mostly harmless?

The band around the seats is just a strap that holds the headphone piece in place. It's completely harmless except for some unexpected loud noises. It's like listening to an audio book. That being said, I don't go to the theatre to listen to an audio book. I have never wanted anything to end so badly. It's a neat gimmick but ten minutes of it was enough for me. The sound/headphone aspect added nothing to the incredibly boring story. Most people, including my friends, didn't seem to dislike it as much as I but no one was extremely enthusiastic about it.

Do you even need to be in the audience to get the full effect of this show? I feel like I could just download the audio and listen to it on my phone from the comfort of my bed.

The understudy is going on for all Wednesday matinees, as per the playbill. You definitely don't gain anything from watching it live other than seeing the incredible amount of energy put into it. I just would have preferred to watch something like pippin, or even the anarchist, using the concept rather than this dull story about a guy running around the jungle.

What about the tech side of things? How's the lighting? Any proections? Etc?

No projections. The lighting had more of an effect on the story than the sound. The set is just random objects used to make some sound effects. The props are mimed.

It's the golden, really any seat is a good seat

I have to highly disagree, personally ^
Rear Mezz of the Golden is my least favorite seat on Broadway. And I've sat in the balcony at the Kerr!

I did Rear Mezz for The Gin Game, but was just wondering for this show in particular. A lot of times it depends on the show for me.

Yes there is projection, designed by Will Duke.

Interesting! Well we all have our own opinions. For this show at least I did not mind the rear mezz the slightest bit.
