So I'm a huge dork and kept track of the lyric changes from the original production. If anyone else did the same I'm curious to see if I missed any.
"Shiksa Goddess" had a "f*ck!" added in but I can't remember exactly where.
"The Schmuel Song"
Original lyric: As the hands moved left on the old clock's face
Revised lyric: As the hands reversed on the old clock's face
"If I Didn't Believe in You"
Original lyric: To be touring again for the summer?
Revised lyric: To be spending summer in Ohio (this one might not be exact)
"I Can Do Better Than That"
Original lyric: Met a guy in a class I was taking who you might say Looked like Tom Cruise
Revised lyric: Met a guy in a class I was taking with some well placed tattoos

The shiksa goddes lyric was
"if your mother and your brother had retaliations with eachother, and your father was a member of the ghadi clan I'd say F*CK it! No body's perfect."
They just added the **** it, whe in the original it was "Well... Nobody's perfect"

Thanks, Kbradstein.
Spork, that seems like such an idiotic question to ask. I never thought was the implication of the lyric especially since Cruise wasn't considered crazy in 2001. That happened long after the fact around the sofa incident of 2005.

Posted: 4/2/13 at 9:54amI thought so, too. I like the Tom Cruise lyric better. I mean, he's still pretty attractive, and she just says that the guy "looks" like him. And Cathy's saying why she was attracted to him, so implying that he's crazy doesn't make much sense.

I mean crazy or not he's still pretty attractive. I honestly don't even know what "well-placed tattoos" are. Like it's not a tramp stamp?

"and your father was a member of the ghadi clan"
Isn't that the Gotti clan as in the mafia kingpin John Gotti?

Speak for yourself. Some of us figured it out way before 2005!

Is the lyric really Gotti clan? HA!
I've always sung it as "the gaudy Klan!"
