There has been much talk about which show is the next to go. Many think Bombay Dreams. Many think Fiddler or Wonderful Town. Some even think Movin' Out will be...well movin out. Which upcoming Broadway musicals do you think will last. Which ones wont. Which will be average? Here are my predictions:
The Frogs: we already know, October 10th
Brooklyn: Could go either way. Could become the next Rent/Wicked/Aida...or could become the next Bombay Dreams. However, I think Eden will save the day!
Little Women: I think this musical, despite many posts, will run for about 2-3 years. I think many older people will go to see this show, as will many Sutton Foster fans
All Shook Up: A mix between Bye Bye Birdie and Mamma Mia could also go either way. I think it will be an average show with an average run.
Good Vibrations: Although many people love the Beachboys, I think this show will be the flop of the season. Too small of a theatre and I doubt much publicity.
Spamalot: I think this will be the HIT of the season. Everyone loves Monty Python. It has an all star cast. I think this show will be very funny and may even become the next Producers!
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: Again, average show, average run. It wont be long until this show will be available at TKTS. However it will remain there for about 2 years.

wait, the frogs is closing! it just opened! isn't it still in previews?

Nope, limited run. It opened knowing it was going to close in October. It was part of a festival. I know its a shame. It could have ran for about a year

then, don't get me wrong, but i don't think it should qualify for any tonys. assasins was a limited run, but that ran for longer.
That is ridiculous - it should definitely be a Tony consideration. After all the hard work they've gone through to get it up and running - I can't imagine it not being a Tony possibility, Possums..
A good friend of mine who is an internet psychic told me -
The Frogs: October 10th
Brooklyn: November 23rd, 2004
Little Women: August 29th, 2007
All Shook Up: May 15th, 2005
Good Vibrations: January 8th, 2005
Spamalot: October 14th, 2006
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: November 1st, 2008
I don't really think "Little Women" will sell. Personally, I have no interest in it. It just seems too depressing and, well, boring, to be a hit. Updated On: 8/25/04 at 04:06 PM
Finally, Matt!! Some REAL "inside" info!!! THANK YOU!!!

I LOVE the Brooklyn prediction! Whoo.
when does dirty rotten scoundrels open?
Interesting. Your internet psychic has Good Vibrations closing before it opens.
Because it's just THAT bad.
I hope that's not true about brooklyn, cuz i have tickets for about a month after that.
do they refund your tickets if the show closes before the performance that you bought them for?
Well, hey, let's not get nuts, Emutional.
i'm just wondering, i never thought about it before.

Ragtime322: Born an asshole, sexual frustration from not getting laid, or so out of touch with reality he thinks he's God. Suggestions?

Little Women will go the way of Jane Eyre. A decent run, but not to long...

Id agree with u, however Little Women has Foster, where Jane Eyre didnt have a star
