Very interesting article talking about the audition process for Lynch and Benanti.
The more I read about this show, the more excited I get.
I especially love Rita Gardner speaking about her rap number at the end of the show, "Move That Thing!"
Sounds like it's going to be a HOOT! (...and maybe a hit...who knows?)

Posted: 1/6/06 at 9:07pmI heard the demo....it's decent....nothing mindblowing, though. Typical synthesized rock.

CHECK OUT THAT SET DESIGN!
I love it.

Posted: 1/6/06 at 9:11pmMy guess is that this will be like Hairspray, it'll be fun, nothing earthshattering, VERY popular, and then fade a bit and stick around for 5 years or so.

Most likely...but still I'm guessing it's going to be quite enjoyable.
When I go see shows, I don't expect to be moved by each show I see. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a fun light-hearted musical that leaves me tapping my shoes.
I loved the movie...so I'm sure I'll love the show.

Awesome pictures on broadway.com. Tina Maddigan looks ABBA-solutely gorgeous. I'm just sayin'...

It's things like Wedding Singer previewing out here that make me love my city even more.
I'm getting tickets for the near end of the run, and i'm very excited to see how it turns out. The sets look simply awesome.

The cast is phenomenal.
And Laura Benanti is one of my favorite performers.
She will win a TONY one day. Might not be for this show, but one day she will.

Posted: 1/7/06 at 3:06pmThis musical sounds like it's going to be so much fun. It not only has an amazing principle cast, but it has Tina Maddigan and Kevin Kern as standbys, two very strong performers. Not to mention the principle cast has Stephen, Amy, Felicia, Laura, Kevin and David. It will be great, with this all star cast fueling the fire.

Actually, Kevin (Kern) is the u/s.. not standby. Or maybe he is standby but doing the show as ensemble, too. I have no idea. Haha.
The stuff confuses the crap out of me.
