THREE DAYS OF RAIN with Julia Roberts

What are your thoughts on how well this will sell?

I really want to see Julia Roberts in her first Broadway show. I think she's a great film actress and will be ecstatic to finally see her on stage.

But, do you think this will be a hard ticket to get? Or should it not be too hard? Will she be a HUGE draw?

I didn't think there was any question! It's going to sell out in two seconds.

Yea, that's pretty obvious...

I guess I'll be up at midnight the minute tickets go on sale.

I wonder if they'll give AMEX members first crack at it with this one.

When do they go on sale?

Yeah, it fairly screams AMEX or VISA priority sale. I guess it will end up at either the Music Box or the Royale/Jacobs, neither or which are huge, so I'd jump on it right away, FOA.

Not sure...they haven't even booked a theatre yet. It's slated for March of 2006...so I have no clue when they'll go on sale or who will carry them.

I thought this was an MTC show at the Biltmore?

re: THREE DAYS OF RAIN with Julia Roberts

No, it's a commercial production. MTC staged the show originally in 1998, which I think is what might have made you think that, Munk.

MTC has Rabbit Hole and Shining City up next at the Biltmore.

(Odd coincidence: Rabbit Hole star John Slattery was in the MTC premiere of Three Days of Rain).

No...the MTC season is ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR, RABBIT HOLE and SHINING CITY.

It's not an MTC show. I thought they had announced they were going into the theater Glengarry played in. Tickets go on sale in January.

re: THREE DAYS OF RAIN with Julia Roberts

Playbill says it's slated for a Shubert theatre.

So I'll have to agree with probably the Music Box or Jacobs.

re: THREE DAYS OF RAIN with Julia Roberts

Could be wrong, but I don't think that Three Days of Rain announced a theatre. Since the Jacobs is empty right now, they probably would have announced that theatre if they were going there. So, they may be waiting for In My Life to do what it's going to do, and then Three Days would end up there. The Music Box has a huuuuge star dressing room, so that's another incentive.
