I agree that any of the cheap seats (if you can still snag them given the qualified rave in today's Wash. Post) should be good. The show is not perfect (some slow spots) but the opening 15 minutes and the closing 10 minutes are easily worth the price of admission

Do you think the Limited View Seats in DCB are worth it? What would make them limited view? Looking at the north side.

I thought the same thing this morning while listening to the OBC. Can you just forget everything that MAY be coming to Circle and put this in!

Circle in the Square doesn't have the balcony needed for this design / staging.

Can't wait to catch this next month. Thanks all for the reviews so far. Signature's West Side Story last year utterly ripped my heart to shreds...looking forward to seeing what they do with this show in that amazing space.

I saw this a few nights ago- I am very familiar with the show and have been in a production of it so was very anxious to catch this. It was beautiful, epic, stunning, etc. Worth the ticket price of $90 (and that was with a teacher discount!!).
Orchestra was wonderful- 17 musicians. The amplification of the voices was almost too much- the voices echoed when the actors spoke and though you could hear every word, there was a lot of reverb when they were speaking and it's not a huge space. I thought some of the young ingenue female characters were cast little too old which took away from the heartbreaking innocence a little bit for me. However, everyone sang and acted beautifully.
SET SPOILER
Set included furniture, luggage, and BODIES suspended from the ceiling during Andrews' Vision. Very effective but safety-wise, I was terrified for them! Standout for me was the three older guys (Captain, Ismay, and Andrews), Kevin McAllister as a heart-wrenching Murdoch, and Nick Lehan as Harold Bride. Thought it was weird how he had to play the bandleader Hartley immediately after the Proposal duet. Some audience members were expressong confusion at intermission if that was the same character and I explained no, haha. The "missing the boat" mini-scene was cut and a couple other songs maybe abbreviated? But no other noticeable cuts. Would love to hear others' thoughts! I highly recommend catching this!

Last week I was lucky enough to see this magnificent production a second time. My husband and I had wanted to go again after using our season subscription tickets but the show was basically sold out. I started doing the Todays Tix lottery and won on my third try. I cannot rave more about this production. Eric Schaeffer has truly outdone himself (again). I was a huge fan of the B'way production but I thought the director made several errors and while the set was extra ordinary, it also had a lot of flaws. I can't imagine this show being done any better than the way Signature did it. It was absolutely flawless. If you are in the area and want to try to see it, Todays Tix lottery would be the only way.
