Nearly all shows were at TKTS during and just before the RNC and according to one interview given by someone from the league, they were considering the continuation of the fire sale of tickets (even for successful shows like The Frogs that had been running 90% to 97% before the RNC downturn) just because September is typically a down month and they had taken such a beating during the time the Republicans were in town and pretty much from the beginning of August because of heightened security and concerns from tourists who did not come to the city.
You can check to see if they are still there but my guess is they may be well into September.
YankeeFan...don't know how recently you've seen the Frogs but since the opening nearly everyone seeing it and reporting back has said that Act II is much stronger now. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and found that since previews they had cut quite a bit and the show is tight and funny.
As for poor Nathan...the box office on this show is doing fine. It would have been great if everyone loved it, but they predicted mixed reviews from the beginning since it is not 'a funny thing happened on the way to athens' nor is it classic Lane or classic Sondheim...still a good show.
