Hi-
I want to go to TKTs, but I would like to know the listings of all the show's that are offerd at the booth. Also, when on wednesday, does it open? Thanks.

The TKTS booth opens at 10AM on Wednesdays for a matinee. Get there an hour and a half early for a prime spot in the line.

A lot of the shows are up there on Wednsdays but none of the bigger ones of course like Wicked, Avenue Q, Lion King, etc. You may not get the best seats, depending on the theater, they may be far back or on the side so I hope you`re not too picky.

The tickets I got for Sweet Charity and Hairspray (Wednesday and Friday evenings respectively) were both excellent. They were in the $100 regions of seating. Although I did have the misfortune of being seated amongst a crowd of over-preened Long Island J.A.P. trash during Hairspray.

There is a lot of J.A.P trash on Long Island. Trust me, I go to school with it. Anyway, I got great Beauty & The Beast seats one night during a snowstorm in January (I make the time of year clear due to the fact that it is not snowing now) and awesome seats for The Producers about a month ago. If you check on the TKTS website, you can see the shows that they sold for last week to kind of get an idea.

They were all so...ugly. As people, as well as outwardly. One of the older women (it was a group of girls and women) started picking on these two Asian tourists because they had seats next to a teenage girl and they wouldn't move to let the girl sit by her mother. So throughout the show, the girl kept bumping into her neighbour in protest and the woman who was with her was just laughing and encouraging her to be vile. She was a Mean Girl (but Mean Girl bad, not Mean Girl good). And they were all making loads of noise and cackling throughout the show, in places where that wasn't appropriate. And the younger girls kept bitching about how fat MJW was. And I was thinking "You don't even get the (rather simple) message of this show, even when it is spelled out for you in song and dance. You are vile, tackily dressed, witches. With bad perms and worse nails."

Yes, Jc- They are ugly, both outside and in (oh that sounded so...poetic?)Yes, those sort of people are awful. Oh! They bother me a lot. They're awful people who think that they are better than EVERYONE. It's ironic that they were seeing Hairspray. Hmm. Those people are just too thick for it to reach them; to touch their hearts--do they have them? Oh I feel like such an awful person...but after more than a decade of going to school with people like that, I think I deserve it.

Have fun at TKTS (I didn't have the heart to hijjack the thread and not give a little shout out to the reason it's here!)

Was that meant to be mocking me, or are you in actual agreement? I hope you do agree because then I'll have enough people to start a No Trashy Evil Females At Hairspray...Or Any Theatre In The World, Ever!
