I really liked the show myself.
son_of_a_gunn_25- Are you upside-down for a reason?

Well, I haven't seen Tom Sawyer, but I did have to make a comment on your type-o. We have a lot of "V"ummunity theatre here in Vegas - ya know, the type that makes you vomit.
And, hey Son of a Gun - why are you scared of Seussical? Because it's being done on a community level? I for one would LOVE to do Seussical. A local director here has been trying to get the rights and I can't wait 'till he does.

I saw Tom Sawyer and expected it to do better than it did. I thought it was pleasant and appealing. Thought it would draw the tourist and annual-family-trip-to-Broadway crowd.
I remember that there was one song, in particular that stuck with me, but of course, I can't remember it anymore.... think it was the one they sang during the lost in the cave scene.
BTW, DivaM...My husband is in your town as we speak... He is...get this...covering the Internet Pornography conference for the magazine he works for. Went last year, too. The vendor giveaways are a hoot. It turns out that Trekkie Monster was right....the Internet IS for porn.

Haha I was referring to my fear of auditions that I am trying to overcome
I know I can only overcome it by doing more but I've never auditioned for a show like Seussical so it will be an experience for me.

Posted: 1/4/04 at 11:08amI didn't see the show but I did know Kristen Bell, the girl who played Becky. I did a couple of community theater shows with ehr when we were younger and we went to the same church. And I think my theater is doing Suessical next year. Yeah!
