It doesn't say on Playbill.com that the show has to be sold out to get SRO.

Standing room policy is set by the head treasurer of each theatre.

The Plymouth's policy has been that standing room is sold only when the entire theatre is sold out. The spaces are at the rear of the orchestra.

If you're hoping for standing room, go on a Saturday night.

Tele-charge will have the exact policy. 212/239-6200

"SRO" is a crossword puzzle invention. It is not used within the business.

Thanks for the info. I am going on a Saturday night and I am going to print out the Playbill.com info in case they say no because the show isn't sold out.

Well, you can try, but Standing Room Only usually means just that. Don't get your hopes up, but I'm sure you can get cheapies somehow. Good luck!

Note my use of all caps:

A treasurer doesn't have to follow ANYTHING but their own policy, Playbill.com be damned.

Call Tele-charge which is the box office by phone for the Plymouth to ask and be sure so there is no rude (and I mean REALLY rude) surprise at the window.

There is every possibility Taboo will be at TKTS.

Ask the Tele-charge for the seat locations. If they are good that means the performance is not selling well. If all they have is side or rear-rear mezz then its on its way to selling out. bear in mind Taboo did no advance discount sales and has not been offered at discount sites.

They're hoping for a freaking miracle.

I can attempt to try WHATEVER I want to get a ticket.

it has been a long time since I purchased standing room but the policy seemed to differ from theater to theater. At some theaters only the orchestra section had to be sold out in order for the box office to release standing room but at others the entire theater had to be sold out before they would start selling standing room.
