I don't recall a documentary, but there is a DVD of the London production. It's Region 2, though, and might not play on U.S. players. Link below.

It isn't available and there is no release date set for it, that is if they're still interested in releasing it. It was only publically shown once on Rosie's gay family cruise last summer. I've been told by sources that it's being edited now - it was over 2 hours long - and then we'll hear something, hopefully. I never got to see it - I'm in the damn documentary and I better get a copy!
**edit: other than the London DVD mentioned above, there is also a documentary called EVERYTHING TABOO available online somewhere. It talks about the putting together of the London production and has interviews with the actors as well as the real Marilyn, Phillip, Nicola, Sue, Steve Strange, and of course, George. It is well worth getting - there is a hysterical special feature with george dressed as Leigh running through the streets of London screaming at people, then going into the theatre WE WILL ROCK YOU is playing at and advertising their show there. It's fantastic - try and track it down - and it's region free, meaning it can play on ANY dvd player.

zippyjen, they're talking about a "making of" documentary, not the show itself. No dvd of the show made, unfortunately.
I've been waiting a long time for this documentary myself. What's wrong with 2+ hours? DVD's always add stuff IN not take it OUT!

Posted: 1/19/05 at 9:52pmWell apparently it wasn't an enjoyable 2 hours. I was told that there are tons and tons of unnecessary things in it, and pointless interviews with some fans who just babble on and on. I don't think they'll cut anything they think people would find interesting. However, I heard that many scenes of the actual show appear in the Docu - they did film it closing night.

I've got the other DVDs but each day I don't have this documentary, I die a little inside.
Too dramatic? Hmmm...nope!

I don't know if I'd be intersted in buying the DVD, but I'd probably watch it if it was on cable just to see if Rosie in action.
