I will second Angela, Holliday and Ellen Greene!
I would love to see a first-rate production of Pal Joey, too.
I also think Promises, Promises would be a fun revisit with a couple of star draws.

I'd love to see a lot of the lesser-known Neil Simon shows come back to Broadway - I've read them all and with the exception of a couple (Little Me comes to mind first), I think they are all so excellent. I'd love a Barefoot in the Park revival, like what was rumored a while ago - even though that's one of his more popular shows, I think it needs to come back.

As long as I can be in Donna, Baayork or Margo in 'Turkey Lurkey Time'!

Audra hasn't been off the boards that long. I am talking about older stuff and people that haven't been on in years.
I love the idea of a 'Barefoot In The Park' revival as well.

Redhead will never be revived.
My Pal Joey dream cast:
Joey Evans-Hugh Jackman
Vera Simpson-Patti LuPone
Melba Snyder-Karen Ziemba
Gladys Bumps-Melissa Errico
Linda English-Kerry Butler

Why would Redhead never be revived MEF?

You need a personality of a triple threat celebrity performer who is preferably known for her redhair as in Gwen Verdon the most legendary triple threat actress. Plus, it's just not that great of a show. Just do Sweet Charity instead, oh wait.

Yeah, why wouldn't it be revived? I could see Bebe in that role. It's a great show.

The show is really terrible, and only lasted on Broadway because of Gwen Verdon. It did win the 1959 Tony for Best Musical, but only because it was a weak year with very little competition (other than Flower Drum Song, which should have won).
So, unless they can bring Ms. Verdon back from the dead to headline, don't expect a revival any time soon.

If she were to be raised back from the dead, she wouldn't last long after seeing what Wayne Cilento has created.

So true, Sum.
I would like to see A Little Night Music revived very soon, but NOT with the proposed star, Glenn Close. I would prefer to see Victoria Clark or Michele Pawk as Desiree.

Victoria Clark and Michelle Pawk are just to powerful of singers. The advantage of a lesser talented singer is that they lend a maturity and strength to the big song "Send in the Clowns" but also a critical weakness and vulnerability.

I'm not sure I agree with you there. Michele Pawk's "Send in the Clowns" from Wall to Wall Sondheim was really incredible. She was able to tap into all of Desiree's fragility and vulnerability.

See, I think REDHEAD would do well if it was done like City Center Encores did CHICAGO. Loose the period clothing and focus on the songs and choreography. Then again, I would love to see WILDCAT get revived as well.

The same situation though I believe applies to Wildcat. It is difficult to comprehend the amount of starpower a celebrity like Gwen Verdon commanded and earned. The only people who come close is maybe Hugh Jackman, Nathan Lane, Bernadette Peters.

I want a revival of PROMISES. PROMISES.
I was born too late (1970)!
I love Bacharach. I love the score! I love the movie it's based on ("The Apartment").
The closest I ever got to seeing it performed was the '97 ENCORES! concert staging starring MARTIN SHORT.
I'd love to see this revived with NORBERT LEO BUTZ or HUNTER FOSTER as "Chuck Baxter" and JEAN LOUISA KELLY or KELLI O'HARA as "Fran".
Bring this long lost gem back!!!

I'd rather have a really terrific revival of the original score of Merrily We Roll Along. Not the Off-Broadway score, the original work.

while, yes, i love the Merrily score i think Evening Primrose is one of his best scores/lyric(al) work. Take Me to the World is my favorite all time sondheim song. Merrily would be great on bway... that would be amazing! but, i still want my Evening Primrose run. the Kennedy Center Merrily was amazing...use that cast= brilliant
