Tamar of The River: Thoughts??

I listened to this cast recording a few nights and was completely stunned. Marisa Michelson is a virtuoso composer - those harmonies/chants/soundscapes are mind blowing and in some places remind me of something Bjork would do (circle Medulla). I was highly impressed. And Margot Seibert? She handled the vocal demands expertly and all of her hard work paid off. I hope to see the show somewhere someday.

It is Margo, not Margot

It's an avant-garde theater piece so the operatic chanting is probably less jarring when you're seeing the show.

But there are moments of great and lyrical beauty in there (Light the World, Where I Stand, Here).
