I got a free Tarzan CD for completing a survey after the show tonight.

It sounds amazing!!

They just asked a few questions about the show, what I liked, didn't like, about the music, actors, scenic design, if I thought it was good for kids, adults, etc.

I did one yesterday. I felt kind of bad--cast members don't even have CDs yet.

About it being late to do the survey--one of the questions they asked was did we get these tickets before or after the show officially opened. Maybe part of the research was to see how reviews affect a show's audience?

theyre standing around outside the theater after the show with SURVEY written on a pin, if you wanna be surveyed, you walk up to them.

they dont always do surveys just to make changes to shows.

They're outside after you see the show. I mean, they want to talk to the people who have just seen that performance. I'm not sure how you get "asked." I saw what was going on, that I got a free CD, and ran over to them to willingly participate.

i dont imagine that theyll be doing this for very long, and they might consider that news of the opportunity spreading may skew their survey results.

It definitely could lead to positively-skewed results; if you didn't like the show (especially the score), why would you want a free CD?

I was at a performance of Spelling Bee where random seats had surveys in them from the beginning. Probably a better method, though I don't know what the incentive was to fill them out and turn them in.

Are they there at every performance? I saw the show and I sort of want the cd but I am not paying for it. Would I be able to pretend I'm coming out of the theater or do they ask for your ticket stub?

They pay attention to who's coming out of the theatre. Plus, they ask you about the performance you just saw. And right now they're the only ways the CD is available. Like I said, the cast doesn't even have it yet.
