I'm sorry, am I behind? I thought Tarzan was flopping...

92%?! It's doing better than THE WEDDING SINGER, SWEENEY TODD, and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE?

What the hell, Disney...stay off my Mecca.

yay Tarzan!!!

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

Tarzan is selling great, people on this board just don't like it so they make it seem like it's not doing well.

It was NEVER under 90% attn.

It has been "going up" almost every single week..

$720,053
$806,637
$816,598
$821,218..

It would be more shocking if it WASN'T doing better than The Wedding Singer.

It's doing well. No matter what we bww-ers think, the show has Disney on the marquee, it will not flop! And did anyone else see the new commericial on tv?

It has two worlds playing and it shows clips from beauty and the beast, the lion king, and then its like "disney's newest hit..." and shows clips from tarzan.

Why would people look at those clips and want to go see it?? They have better clips they could have used. But it was just Tarzan swining back and forth in front of those ugly green vines.
Also, do people really like it?? I know people are going to go see it because it's Disney, but do people actually come out and say "Wow that was great?" The only positive aspect I've heard anyone talk about about were the first 3 minutes with the ship sinking.

It won't run as long as Lion King or Beauty but should be able to do what Aida did. Tourists will keep it going

I love how people hate the fact that it's making money, attracting people to the theater, and providing jobs!

Just John, yes people really do like it. I've talked to people during intermission or at the rush line who rave about it. Some of them may say it's great, though I think people often confuse something that's good with something you like. Still, there are a lot of people who really like it...including me.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
