P-Touch labels are standard practice for labeling shoes. That is a fact. Often times iron-on P-Touch labels are used inside clothing, sometimes it's a blank tag from the costume shop that is then written on. I never suggested that there was anything on Ripley's ankle. She's probably got a tattoo there if somebody said they saw a tattoo. Let's move on.

I am well aware. Most often on shoes it is a blank tag written on with a sharpie

Never said you did. I was referring to TotallyEffed's post.

"She's probably got a tattoo there if somebody said they saw a tattoo".

She does. That, as you say, is a fact.

"Let's move on."

Sure. You were the one who questioned me. Moving on, James T Lane and Eric Sciotto also have tats.

Bumping this thread because I would really love more female examples - there seems to be a difference between male and female actors who are inked. Linked to how much more skin female performers are often asked to show?

Christine Dwyer covers her small flower tattoo on her arm in Waitress.

Alison Luff didn't cover her foot tattoo in either Escape to Margaritaville or Nell Gwynn. Both shows she was either in flip flops or barefoot in some scenes.

Aubin Wise who is in the chicago company of Hamilton as Peggy/Mariah (she is currently on maternity leave) has one of her arms halfway covered with tattoos. She wears a special jacket at the end of the show compared to other Peggy/Mariah’s who wear a cap sleeved dress during the finale.
Caitlin Kinnunen from the prom also has quite a few tattoos, but I do not think most of hers are visible. She has one on her arm she covered for Bridges and the Prom.

I hate seeing tattoos on stage; worse was seeing one on a ballerina! and very distracting on a near naked male dancer[no jokes please].

Even worse was seeing a gorgeous, beautifully gowned woman at the Oscars with visible tattoos---ruins the whole affect.

Yes--I dislike tattoos so don't get me started on footballers and sleeves !!

Mark Ballas has full sleeve tattoos and during Jersey Boys (maybe at the Muny this summer??) he posted a video of the flesh colored body stocking he wears to totally cover his arms.

Lilli Cooper has a forearm tattoo that was noticeable during SpongeBob, although not distractingly so.
