Jinkx Monsoon to play Judy Garland in END OF THE RAINBOW in London

Though only looking at clips I thought that there were some weird choices in there.

re: Lena Horne: The Lady and her Music

Ke3 said: "longshot these days, but did anybody see this show? any memory of it?"

I know that I saw her, don't know the year and where and got mugged, not seriously, just a knife poked at my ribs and a demand for money. It was pissing rain so got to the theater, straight into the mens room and tried to dry off under the hand blower. I really was saturated. I was a sight drying off.

Lena was magnificent but somehow I remember having seen a recording of same

Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan

The teenage boy in the background with his mother while the girls sing Mack the Knife looked so bored, attempted a clap and looked  'What am I doing here'? If this is Broadway--no thanks. I love checking the audience to see how they are reacting. Most looked like--it's over-let's go.

That Mack goes on for far too long anyway.

SWEENEY TODD at La Mirada

Lets try an asylum, that's different. Not really. I've seen the ballet Giselle in an asylum many many moons ago and that was a triumph. Netherland dance company--I think.

Just in Time - Matt Morrison?

I'm late to everything and nothing to do with the topic, sorry, but I just caught up with Looking and my jaw is still on the floor. That Mr Groff looks gorgeous, sexy AF, sings and dances a dream and can perform against a tree in the woods. His smile just lights up the screen. I went from Heated Rivalry to Looking. I'm exhausted.

Off topic I know but just had to make a comment and this is the only place I know.

Rocky Horror Show Revival Cast

We had a very straight white male in Australia who was before the court for molesting[never proved] a fellow female On Stage. Been banished for years now.

Once we had here Reg Livermore[gay] who was everything--raunchy, VERY funny, camp ! sexy and not any way, drag.

Check out his Betty Blogbuster Follies--it could be Blockbuster--so long ago.

Have You Left at Intermission?

I've left more times than I've stayed---the reason I always sit at the end of a row.

I now have that terrible reputation for not staying, I just get bored and I'd rather be at home with a book. At least I make the effort and pay for my ticket. Stayed for Follies, Rag Time HATED Sister Act.

Next LITTLE SHOP Cast?

Joe Locke...He would be perfect-look and voice. There was a performer in Heartstopper who played Sally in London.

Both great for advertising

Next roles for Connor/Zegler?

I feel that Kit has aged himself out of Season 4 as he has matured years beyond Joe.

Joe can sing so he would be a very interesting[young] visit into the Cabaret world and Kit would drag his fans into How to Succeed because if Daniel could be taught to 'sing and dance' so could Kit. Maybe too soon but there's money to be made here.Maybe in London.

Back to Cabaret. One of the girls in Heartstopper played Sally in London so her and Joe could be great publicity.

Patrick Marber will direct THE PRODUCERS for London’s Menier Chocolate Factory, beginning November 2024

WHAT AN ICON HE IS! I’ve heard rumors about this transferring to the West End some time next year, which is NEEDED! The run is completely sold out at the Menier but if you can score a rush ticket, go for it! You won’t be disappointed!"

I saw Trevor Ashley in Melbourne i

I didn't like the movie, the stage show was OK. The movie wasn't funny, there was no need for tears-sad-where?, the famous last song was ruined, kept looking for the tight white pants, the colouring was not bright enough but somehow I wasn't bored. Maybe waiting for it to improve.

I have heard enough people gushing over everything that I didn't like so obviously Wicked doesn't 'do' it for me.

I've been, I've seen, wasn't conquered. I'l

Grande isn't funny, Erivo isn't interesting, and they both look blank 90% of the time.

What are people crying about? How is this movie touching people??

It isn't a trainwreck or anything, but it's hardly Oscar worthy.

And they barely changed anything tosignificantly improve on the source materi

I'm curious about salaries. Do agents negotiate a set fee plus royalties? Naturally this is a confidential amount but just per average.

How would Mr Schwartz negotiate? Is it per performance all around the world? This film? Do singers pay royalties when they sing one of his songs in concert?

I wonder if Judy Garland[Estate] is still getting royalties. I guess not and she was probably only paid a few thousand dollars.

Just curious. These star artists must be being paid

SweettLips - can I ask where you saw the film? Of course, your opinion is your opinion, but some of what you describe sound like sound/picture issues in the theatre you saw the film in. I've seen the film a few times, and honestly wouldn't describe the colors as dull or the dialogue as murky.

I saw it at a local screening[Brisbane Austr

Universal's WICKED Film - News & Discussion Thread

Well that's 3 hours I'll never get back. Bored. I can't believe how dull and dark the whole film looked. The poppy field was a little brighter. Emerald City was green but dull. The big dance routines were badly shot, the diction was very bad except for the Wizard-he was excellent. The monkey transformation was one wholly mess, nothing scary about them. Glinda was hard to understand with her squeeky soprano and none of her humour landed. There was emotion when the girls bonded but

ALW has completed his next musical

I would love for it to be Sherlock Holmes as from what I recall there is no female front and centre stage. He would be writing mainly for the male voice, each totally different personalities for solos and also harmonious duets. Comedy from the housekeeper then the police and 'customers'. A great cast of characters and maybe a hint to their suggested relationship.
My little fantasy.

Jonathan Groff Sets 2025 Broadway Return with JUST IN TIME?

Put it in after Cabaret. The set for a cabaret performance is already there.
Beanie Feldstein & More to Star in SPELLING BEE at Kennedy Center

Did I just see Beanie Feldstein in some gross Lesbian horror film on Netflix? It was very R rated, at least at the beginning, and that was as far as I got.
