And I hope Taye isn't SO good that they hire him permanently and then Norbert won't be able to come back. Oh my god, that would be horrible for Norbert.

I leaped on this thread, waiting for a definitive Namo post on Norbert's replacement. I know what that performance means to him. (He didn't disappoint).

I must say, a black Fiyero will make some of the show's politics very interesting. And juice up that duet in act two in the woods. I've always felt that scene was PG when PG-13 to R would be better. But I actually think Taye will also look damned cute with Chenoweth. The gals do shorta share the character.

Namo, you MUST go back. And report here. You owe it to Butz and the women and men who love him.

I think it's great that Taye will be filling in while Norbert is out... I'm just bitter because I'm seeing the show on the 16th and I won't get to see either of them!!!!!!!

This is wonderful news! I am so happy for Idina. It is great that they are not letting a specific race play Fiyero (sometimes have it in a character description). This is a great week for Wicked. Next Tuesday Wicked OBCR is in stores! I have to pre-order mine now!

I'm so excited for Taye! It's also right, because in the novel some of the plot was about Fiyero being a different nationality than Elphaba. Smart move on the producers part.

I wish he was in Wicked when I saw it last month. Butz did nothing for me. But, Taye Diggs, is gorgeous..........What a hottie!!!!!!!!!!!
