Teal has returned tonight.

^She did return on Saturday night, but then on Sunday she was gone again as well as on Tuesday night as reported at www.witchesofoz.com by someone who works at the Orpheum. No one knows why she returned and then disappeared again. Hopefully you'll get a chance to see her again soon.

You're the first person that has mentioned that June return date. I heard this date several weeks ago from someone in the cast that shall remain nameless at their request. You just might be right about your thoughts on Teal although she would only have about a month left on her contract. As for calling SHN they won't tell you anything as several people at WoO have done just that and received the party line. Still hoping you'll get to see her as I had the pleasure of watching her six times in L.A.

ETA: Someone at the Orpheum who posts at WoO reported that Teal is back tonight (SATURDAY, May 9th). The question is will she be there tomorrow? I find it interesting that your speculation about her appearing on Saturdays only for awhile is happening.

Are you serious about Dee or Meredith? I saw Dee twice in Chicago and she was very good.. I'm planning on seeing it again sometime next week, probably on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Just got back from seeing the show and Teal WAS on tonight. She did a great job! Natalie Daradich was on as Glinda. My friend was hoping to see Dee go on as Elphaba, since we really didn't expect to see Teal.

Yes, until Vicki returns from her vacation in June. Caught the show again tonight and Dee went on as Elphaba.

Teal was great! I didn't notice any vocal problems at all! Natalie is alright. I actually saw her very first performance as Glinda in Los Angeles on Feb 1st of 2008. She told me a story at the stage door that night about how she was getting her nails done when she got the call that she would be going on and how scared she was. Vocally, she is amazing. However, her comedic timing could be better. I wasn't disappointed with her, and she has definitely grown into the role since the first time she performed, but Kendra is better at the acting/comedy angle though often times her voice isn't as strong as I feel Natalie's is. Dee R. was hands down amazing. Her acting was great, her singing...the best! She did the best version of NGD that I've ever heard. I specifically went to see her play the part. I'm glad I did!

I heard Angel Reda might be performing at the matinee as Elphaba today. Lemme know how the show/cast was!

LOL. I have no connections to the cast, just friends who know people who work, or have worked, for the show. Mostly technical people. Eden is not going to be coming to do WICKED anytime soon. Her voice was shot at the end of her Los Angeles run and now she wants to do other projects. There has been a rumor going around that the original Elphaba from the German cast could be stepping into the role this October in SF!

I am surprised you didn't like Dee's NGD. Maybe she was holding back if she was going on for the evening show too? When I saw NGD was just plain amazing, the best I've ever heard from any of the actresses playing the part.

I agree that Kendra is funnier, but my big problem with her is that Kendra doesn?t show enough of Glinda?s vulnerability. Glinda?s a spoiled rich girl, but underneath it all she?s an insecure girl who wants to be loved. With Natalie?s Glinda I actually feel for her when she realizes she didn?t know Fiyero at all and throughout the other heartbreaking moments for her in the show. The only time I ever feel sorry for Kendra?s Glinda is during ?Thank Goodness?, where Kendra does finally show the vulnerability she is lacking during the rest of the show. Also Kendra?s voice just isn?t the best and while I put acting above voice, Kendra?s take on the role doesn?t work for me, and there isn?t even a voice there for me to enjoy.

As for Dee, sure she is a bit rusty, but she had amazing stage presence and strong vocals. I loved her acting and her Fieyero riff in NGD.

I just came back from seeing Wicked again. Kendra was on as Glinda and Angel Reda was on as Elphaba. I have to say that at first I wasn't sure about Angel, but she prove me wrong during The Wizard and I, she just blew the roof of. She has a wonderful voice, her Defying Gravity was truly amazing, and her No Good Deed was extraordinaire. Her acting was unbeliavable Her chemistry with Kendra was wonderful, as the same with Nicolas, I totally believed they were in love, especially in As Long As Your Mine. Kendra was amazing as always. Deedee as Nessa extraordinaire as always. Nicolas is starting to get stronger and stronger just like Eddie. Patty was fantastic, she got an entrance applause, and David was fantastic as well, the show was truly spectacular.
