Awesome! Hey--Anyone ever post on that Witches of Oz board? I registered AGES ago and have yet to be approved to post anything. Are the moderators dead or something?

I saw Vicky last week Tuesday and she blew me away. Her Elphaba was thrilling. Patty Duke was out but Fiama was great!

So she came back from her vacation already? Anyways, I have always wanted to see Vicky as Elphaba since I heard many great thing about her in this site, but the times that I've seen it, she's always out, but I'm not complaining because I have the luck to see great Elphabas, Merideth, Dee, and Angel. Hopefully next time I'll get to see her. :)

Saw the show last night with Vicki and Kendra. Both seemed off and strained. The big surprise is that David Garrison left the show and has been replaced by Lee Wilkof. I was shocked to see Lee in the role as I didn't read the playbill. Lee has amazing stage presence and vocals. Eddy Rioseco, Deedee Magno Hall, and Tom Flynn were spectacular. Patty Duke's timing is off. I was hoping to see Dee Roscioli perform but I think she's off to broadway to assume the lead of Elphaba since there was no mention of Dee in the playbill.

I've tried posting items on the Witches of Oz. I have yet to be approved in the last three months when I signed up. Not sure what's going on with that site but I like this one better because the people here are more courteous and mature than the other site.

When is Teal coming back???

Bwayfan3: You are lucky to have seen all three. Vicki is awesome but she doesn't have the polish as Dee or Teal. I've heard great things about Meredith and tried my luck at catching her perform, failing each time. I've also heard good things about Angel. Vicki is definitely worth seeing.

If it came down to seeing Dee, Meredith, Teal,Vicki, or Angel, I would want to see them in this order 1) Dee 2) Meredith 3) Teal 4) Vicki 5) Angel

It sounds like Teal need some real time off from the show and not just these little breaks. They should just choose to rotate Elphies and Glindas and not give anyone star billing. Also, I saw Garrison last week and he was unimpressive. You are lucky to be getting Lee Wilkof. He is an amazing Wizard and better than Joel Grey.

No, I didn't. I always thought Garrison did well playing The Wizard every time I've seen him, though it's such a bit part I can't imagine how one could suck that badly at it!!!

I just can't fathom that the role is a completely different character given the short amount of stage time, just by a new actor playing the role. I've seen three actors total play the role and still find it to be the weakest "lead" character no matter who plays the role. The two songs the Wizard has are pretty simple vocally, so I am not sure how one's singing could be "truly superior" given the material. Guess I will have to see it to believe it.

Lee just has more presence and he has a booming, powerful singing voice. Garrison was just bland in every way and sang quietly. Wilkof comes across larger than life, vibrant...like someone who could influence others but also had that "Santa Clause" type of warmth. There are superior wizards if you ever see one..you'll know.

re: Teal Wicks Out, Vicki Noon in as Elphaba

Saw the show last night (6/10) for the 12th time in San Francisco, 19th time over all. For the first time since February that there were no understudies in any of the roles. Yes, Teal Wicks was on last night and she was spectacular! There were no hints of her having any type of medical issues with her voice as she nailed every scene and song she performed. Kendra was also on fire. Lee Wilkof is amazing.

But then again, it was LGBT (lesbian/gay) night and I'm sure they knew they had to be on top of their game for a room full of queens (well, okay me).

Just heard that Kendra might be leaving in July? Any truth to this?

I really hope so! Vicki is great! Teal is okay, but i'm gettign tired of her. There needs to be someone new! I also heard Teal has like two days off where she rests every week and Vicki goes on.

Teal was asked at stage door this week that she is staying until January 2010 with the option of extending. Patty is doing great, nearly attending every show. I hear Kendra leaves in October. Also heard Patty leaves in September? Any news or rumors about this? I hope they don't pull a Lee Wilkof on us and have us just go to the show with the shock of David leaving, although I did love David very much, and Lee for that matter...

Vicki N. as Elphaba . . . terrific! She is a wonderful talent, you can't go wrong with her in the role, you'll be giving her a standing ovation, absolutely!

I really hope Kendra will take a break from Wicked, atleast temporarily. I love her and think she is great in Wicked and everything, but if she wants to continue she needs to take another break. I really hope Natalie takes over. I'm sick and tired of giving the role to unknowns. Natalie is working her ass off for this show, seriously bump up a standby Glinda for once. Wicked recycles some good, some bad, but if it is not Natalie who replaces, I will be very dissapointed. Then again Kendra may extend, she did so when SJB left Wicked and stayed with Julia. Hmmm. Anyone registered for WoO? I want them to accept my membership! UGH
