Barbra's Tour

Aug 5, 2016 — 4:06:13 PM

The mind reader was terrible and really awkward. Climb every mountain was cut. No duet partners. Good show but she seemed to be struggling to remember a lot of the lyrics to songs.

What were people wearing? Seeing the show in San Jose tonight where it's 100 degrees.

Whatever happened to Amy Spanger?

Apr 16, 2012 — 12:11:25 PM

She had the same vocal problems during "Rock of Ages". And I stand by the statement that her understudy went on more than she did during "The Wedding Singer".

She left Sunset Blvd before her contract was up, as well as ditching The Wedding Singer prematurely because of "vocal issues".

She has a hard time sticking with any one project. She gets something big and then leaves because of "vocal issues".

Audience behavior at Evita. ( especially with the Latin community)

Mar 13, 2012 — 8:16:07 PM

Goodness. The only bad experience I've had seeing theatre was seeing "The Color Purple", when a bunch of African-American patrons decided to yell at the performers about homosexuality being a sin, and then yell "they probably deserved AIDS!" at the Broadway Cares: Equity Fights AIDS thing at the curtain call. I didn't use it to judge any one race group, chalked it up to a poor upbringing and lack of theatre etiquette from the offending party.

Phantom DVD Question

I noticed on the CD that track 1 (prologue) was incredibly low.

Finally There's An All White Version Of HAIRSPRAY!

For the person who was wondering if Edna had to be played by a man, contractually, the answer is NO. There have been some regional productions that do cast a female in the part.

Vegas Phantom

The actors really need to be replaced. They've been playing the same characters for years and years and last time I saw it they were beyond bored. The shows technical aspects are awesome, but the performances left a lot to be desired.

TALES OF THE CITY

Sep 20, 2011 — 6:17:37 PM

It was really good, but as far as I know there are no current plans to transfer it to Broadway. The best I think we'll be getting is for a regional theatre to perform the show one day if they decide to release the rights.

Megan hilty is blowing up!

AC12748---she's been a popular Glinda thanks to her Los Angeles run, but was never very popular as Elphaba seeing as how she never played the role.
